Psalm 16:8
I have set the lord before me: Because he is at my right hand, i shall not be moved
This is the Unbroken Archive, welcome to our podcast series, 12 scripture vow cast, we hope you learn something today and also that you lean into God for all your ways to never be moved by this shifting world let's dive in to today's message This is The 12scripturevowcast, thank you for joining me this week, this episode will be founded on Psalm 16:8 which reads I have set the LORD always before me: Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Now this scripture is very important to me, because it's the definition of being an immovable faithful servant to God, setting the Lord before you will make sure your taking strides on his path because he has established the ways of his faithful and there goings. In his path you will not find distractions, he will instead guide you to look for him instead of other things that this world has to offer. Instead of seeing a distraction let's say lust, you can come to the Lord and ask him for guidance how to go around this temptation instead of feeding it you deny it, move it out of the way with the wisdom and guidance received from the Lord You say well what if I'm in a bad spot and it's really hard, that's when you look at yourself and think how can I get out of this situation? Is there a way I can stop looking at this or move away from it or even leave it, after questioning yourself in this manner you can go to the great sovereign Lord and ask him of there's an escape, and if your heart is directed at him, if you have set him always before you he will show you an escape Walking the path of the Lord once you are on it is a very powerful thing, it's a very good thing, there's not a thing that should move you. It could be lust as we just talked about, it can be greed or could be envy even idolatry all these will have no power over you and there's many more that will have no power over you because you have set the Creator before you, and in this you shall prevail and come on top victorious because Christ has given us the victory he has risen and sin has been thrown to the ground it's nothing but a pest to you, if you can squash a big you can squash sin as long as you have the Lord set before you always all the day and all the night all the time have the Lord set before you Walk with him, don't just visit him in prayer time, don't just visit in church on Sunday or Wednesday, male it a lifestyle, to some fitness is their lifestyle walking the path of the Lord is a lifestyle not a hobby it's not something you go back to when your bored, it's not something you take breaks from its a permanent lifestyle it's a choice, there are many who make it a hobby and when they step over that line and back out of the path they go do whatever their heart desires indulging in all sorts of sins and passions I like to call this sindulgence. These are also those who tarry along the fence of transgression, they back out of the path kinda linger in the world's culture moving closer to the culture bounce back in to the path start reading again go to church on Sunday then step back out, the more closer they get to the culture the more they form their doctrine to fit the culture and before you know it you have a false doctrine and it doesn't take long, we're not supposed to conform to the world's culture it's a dark and evil world, we're told in scripture to separate ourselves from this world to be one with Christ not one with the world this culture movement thing is pulling quite a few people away from sound doctrine and moving them towards cultures doctrine which does not match up with the truth of God at all. They think they can mix the two, when you mix world culture with the truth you contort it you twist it to fit the culture and now you have false doctrine and your leading people away from the true Christ to a false Christ that won't save their soul from the pit This world doesn't need sprinkles and glitter, they need unchanging unmoving truth, we all fall short of God's grace but that's why he sent Jesus, that we those who believe in him and trust him with their soul as their soul protector would be granted eternal life and be preserved from eternal condemnation, that's confrontational yes it is, but the truth IS confrontational it's not a soft pick me up it pokes you where you are and shreds that flesh to put on a new man, is the saying true? Truth hurts? The real truth unedited perfect sound doctrine yes it can hurt but only those who are willing to receive the message will understand it. There's two groups, there's the group of sinners living in the world outside the path of the Lord that can hear the message of Christ and listen to it to receive it, or go on about their way. Then there's those who hear the message but they refuse to listen to it they are wicked in their ways and perfect in their eyes pride has become their flesh and lust has become their eyes and to this they have chosen their path in darkness hating God to never listen to a message regarding the truth of the gospel of Christ we need to pray for both groups one that the first group would come to hear and listen to the message to receive Christ to enter the kingdom and the second group that God would soften their hearts for they are plastered in stone. We need to pray that God will soften their hearts to hear AND listen to the message of the gospel of Christ and that they also would receive him to enter the kingdom Thank you for joining us this week on the 12 scripture vow cast, we hope to see you again next week as we continue to dive into the unchanging perfect word of God, remember he is never changing never ceasing always existing the works shifts to what culture moves to but the great sovereign Lord he is set never to be moved and neither should we
Episode #2
Psalm 27:1
The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
This is the Unbroken Archive, welcome to our podcast series, 12 scripture vow cast, we hope you learn something today and also that you lean into God for all your ways to never be moved by this shifting world let's dive in to today's message This is The 12scripturevowcast, thank you for joining me this week, this episode will be founded on Psalm 27:1 which reads The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? If you were with us for last week's message you'll understand that unbroken Archive is all about walking the path of the Lord and staying on that path not by our own strength but by the strength of the great sovereign Lord. On his path does he establish the way of his faithful, there's no thing that we shall fear on this path. We know the Almighty God is in control, we understand and know that Jesus told us not to fear ma'am who can hurt your body but to fear only God who is the one to destroy both body and soul. He guides our path with his light, he is the light of our salvation, we have the light of God with us, as we lean in closer and closer to God to walk in his will for our lives that light will only shine brighter and brighter to be as a witness to the people that God puts in our lives, that even our actions our speech even may be a witness and testimony that we hold the light of Christ within us. We are also made to understand that when Jesus was crucified, he rose from the dead oh what a glorious day, he defeated sin death and the grave giving us power over these things there's no sin we should be afraid that it might control is or be a kryptonite to us. There's no sin kryptonite to a faithful follower of God because he has given us power and authority over all sin over all spiritual evils, he has given us authority. Lust has no power over you, rebuke that distraction in the name of Jesus idolatry has no power over you, rebuke that distraction in the name of Jesus anxiety has no power over you, rebuke that distraction in the name of Jesus Depression has no power over you, rebuke that distraction in the name of Jesus. There's no thing that shall control you as you walk in the path of the Lord day and night all the day all the night. Yes we will sin it is human nature that's why Jesus had to come redeem us, but we are called to live a repentant life not a willfully sinful life to walk a righteous holy life in the strength of God, we are made righteous not by our own means but by the works of Christ are we made righteous. Don't be one to find yourself sliding out of the path of the Lord, slowly receding away from the commandments and holy ways that God calls us to be. Be not one to tarry along the fence of transgression to lay and lounge in the lair of the wicked taking in the man's sins as a sponge. Do not find yourself here for you will no longer be in the path of the Lord you will be walking along with the transgressors, taking counsel from the sinners. Do you not think if you take counsel from them to hear what the singers have to say that you won't be soaking their mindset in yourself? Search for true men and women of God for counsel let not your heart lead you away from the path of the Lord. Control your heart let the Lord lead you let the Lord guide your path and you will be make straight to walk on level ground to acknowledge the Lord in all you do.
